Our legal program, and soon-to-be legal organization, was formed because of a need grassroots organizers and leaders saw in the community. Our legal work is fundamentally grounded in grassroots organizing values and strategies, and serves to bolster grassroots organizing movement work to build people-power for systemic change. This session will map out Colorado's current legal infrastructure and will dive deep into what movement lawyering is, how it is done and why it's critical in building people-power and creating systemic change.
