Born and raised in Benin, a beautiful country in West Africa, Houefa Akpamoli (she/her) moved to the U.S. in 2013 and is proud to call Fort Morgan home. She is dedicated to achieving health equity and is currently the health equity manager at the Northeast Colorado Health Department, where she oversees the Community Health Workers program. Houefa is a wife and mother of five who is also building a chosen family around friends with different backgrounds. Her motto is, “Even the smallest power can make a great and positive change; you just have to know when and how to use it properly.”
