Hodan Karshe (she/her) emigrated to the U.S. from Somalia when she was 9 years old. She comes from a big, loving family of 14 children with strong Islamic faith and African cultural values that have taught her to serve the underserved. Whether providing language support, advocating for immigrants or connecting community members to resources, helping others is second nature for Hodan. Her passion to help others has led her to pursue a rewarding career in health care as a multimodality radiology technologist, medical interpreter and community health worker. During her free time, Hodan loves spending quality time with family, reading, learning new skills and traveling.
