Description
Presenters will discuss Raices-Xidid-Roots (RXR) Academy, a community development approach designed to address the root causes of marginalization and disenfranchisement in Morgan County, Colorado. The session will feature RXR development and implementation, drawing instructors from Fort Morgan and working with instructors to build skills in content and teaching approaches. The Spanish-speaking cohort instructor will discuss the adaptation of curricular materials to participants’ language and culture. Additionally, presenters will discuss program adaptations and evolutions that were based on participant feedback. A video featuring participant experience will be included. Ample time will be provided for dialogue with session participants.
