Manny Rutinel (he/him) is an attorney for Earthjustice’s Sustainable Food and Farming Program. Manny received his J.D. from Yale Law School. While in law school, he founded Climate Refarm — a company leveraging carbon offset credits to pay food providers and farmers to switch to plant-based options. Previously, Manny was an economist for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, where he also served as a first responder to Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria. Manny holds an M.S. in applied economics from Johns Hopkins University and both a B.S. in microbiology and a B.A. in economics from the University of Florida.
