Benton-Clark brings an extensive background in place-based philanthropy, advocacy, capacity building, rural grantmaking, and organizational change management. This includes leading and developing philanthropic strategies, building, or refining grantmaking practices and processes, coaching and developing talent, and integrating equity into day-to-day organizational operations. She is a seasoned strategist and coach who facilitates growth in leadership, stakeholder engagement, emotional intelligence, and resiliency - the very core practices needed to foster strong relationships, strategic influence, agile teams, and adaptive strategy.
Benton-Clark has over 20 years of experience working in the philanthropic and nonprofit sectors in both rural and urban contexts. Her tenure in several organizations covered various roles, including:

Benton-Clark holds a master’s in social service administration from the University of Chicago where she concentrated on community organizing, planning and development. Her undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill were focused on economics and political science. Benton-Clark is a certified professional coach and certified practitioner in using industry-leading assessments.
She is based in Georgia with her husband and two children.
