Emily Solon (she/her) is the deep canvassing manager for United for a New Economy (UNE). She is responsible for building and leading UNE’s deep canvassing program, utilizing both paid staff and volunteers to deepen the organization’s understanding of how people in our communities think and talk about issues to build power for racial and economic justice issues impacting member communities. Emily’s desire to create connections with people, including those with vastly different backgrounds or political opinions, brought her into deep canvassing work, where she experiences the transformational power of intentional listening without judgment.
