LaKeshia T. Hodge (she/her) is a Denver native and the second-oldest of six siblings. LaKeshia graduated from Montbello High School in 1999, and in 2000, she co-founded the Struggle of Love (SOL) Foundation, which provides opportunities for youth and/or families in underserved areas to access year-round services and programs. SOL’s programs include youth mental health services through the Love Center, Sacks of Love daily food pantry, and Youth Violence Prevention and Gang Interruption. She is also a small business owner of DIY BeautyMat Salon, established in 2019. She feels fortunate to be able to pursue her passion for helping the community and mentoring youth for over 20 years. Although LaKeshia holds extensive talent and experience in leadership, administration, facilitation and development, she believes her true gift is entrepreneurship, creating opportunities for herself and others.
