Tessa O’Connell (she/her) is the director of diversity, equity and inclusion, and leadership development, at National Jewish Health. She is charged with growing the culture of inclusivity and equity so that patients and employees know they are valued through thought, word, and action. Tessa has worked in health care for five years. She has a master’s degree in educational psychology and is currently pursuing a doctorate in educational leadership for equity-urban and diverse communities at CU Denver.
