Dr. Terri Richardson is Chair of the Board of Directors for The Colorado Health Foundation. A retired internal medicine physician, she spent 34 years caring for Colorado patients, including 17 years with Kaiser Permanente and 17 years with Denver Health. Throughout her career, she served not only as a clinician, but also as a health educator, mentor, speaker and community advocate.

She describes herself as a “community doctor” and remains deeply committed to advancing health equity, particularly within Black communities. Dr. Richardson is vice chair and a co-founder of the Colorado Black Health Collaborative, where she helps lead the Barbershop/Salon Health Outreach Program. She also serves on a number of civic and health-related boards and advisory groups, including the University of Colorado Cancer Center Community Advisory Council.

Dr. Richardson earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from Stanford University, a medical degree from Yale School of Medicine, and completed her residency in internal medicine at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. She has served on The Colorado Health Foundation’s board since 2016 and became board chair in 2025.
