Stephen Malloy Brackett (performing as Brer Rabbit) is an emcee, organizer, and educator who views the stage, the classroom, and the street as a single venue for social change. As a co-founder of the alternative hip-hop band Flobots, he has spent over fifteen years using global platforms to advocate for justice, later co-founding vital community infrastructure like Youth on Record and the street-level protest music collective NoEnemies.

His systemic impact led to his appointment as the Colorado Statewide Music Ambassador, a two-year tenure dedicated to leveraging music for community healing, isolation recovery, and youth mental health support across the state. Denver-raised, Stephen channels his decades of grassroots experience into his current roles as the Executive Director of Foundation Music School and an Adjunct Professor of Music Business at Colorado State University, ensuring the creative ecosystem remains vibrant and accessible to all.
