According to Alexis Weightman, public policy work is both an art and a science. Before joining The Colorado Health Foundation in 2008, she applied her biology background in Boston and D.C., leading evaluations and research for NIH, NSF, the National Science Board, and the White House. Alexis now focuses on translating research into actionable policy recommendations, aiming to improve health and care systems in Colorado. A fourth-generation Coloradan, she enjoys Rocky Mountain National Park and spending time with her family and yellow Lab.
