Olivia García, Ph.D., is the Vice President of Research, Federal Policy, and Leadership at Voces Unidas de las Montañas. Previously, she was the Director of Public Policy at Esperanza United, focusing on federal policy for gender-based violence survivors. Her notable achievements include the passage of the Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) and the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA). Dr. García also contributed to a mentoring program for Latina students in public policy and led language access curriculum development as the Underserved Populations Director at the National Center for Victims of Crime.
