Yusra Murad is a public health student based in Minneapolis who has research interests in housing, health, and narrative strategy. She focuses on how dominant media narratives frame housing and homelessness and how these narratives impact health. Yusra seeks opportunities for community organizers to develop new narratives that establish housing as healthcare and challenge structural racism and systems of white supremacy. She is also the communications organizer at Inquilixs Unidxs por Justica, a coalition of tenants fighting for housing justice in Minneapolis.
