Marissa Hallo is the Senior Communications Organizer at the Center for Health Progress, where she combines her dedication to multiracial, cross-class community organizing with her interest in narrative power and storytelling. Passionate about addressing the profit-driven flaws in our healthcare system, she organizes grassroots leaders to build a new narrative for equitable, humanizing care free of corporate greed. Previously, Marissa lectured in dance and cultural studies at the University of Colorado, co-founded Boulder’s Showing Up for Racial Justice (SURJ), and worked in nonprofit communications for over a decade.
