This session will focus on leveraging participants’ current lived experiences to develop skills for community organizing and power building. Through a series of activities and peer engagement, participants will reflect on their own journeys of resilience to identify opportunities to uplift the communities they serve. Participants will be introduced to power building strategies that can be directly applied to their own work.

Key objectives for this workshop include:

• Participants will engage in activities that will allow them to enhance their understanding of what community organizing can look like through a reproductive justice lens.
• Participants will gain introductory knowledge to community organizing and power building models.
• Participants will be able to reflect on their respective programing and outreach activities and identify opportunities to strengthen community engagement.
