Leveraging quantitative data that describes people’s experiences effectively can be a powerful tool for advocates to influence policy development and implementation. Yet, finding these data to support policy aims can be difficult, especially when many data sources do not adequately represent the nuanced experiences of communities most impacted by health inequities. Join us for this interactive session, where we will explore three datasets that have been built by and for Coloradans – Colorado Latino Agenda, Colorado Lotus Project, and Pulse: The Colorado Health Foundation’s Poll. Learn how to access and use data to identify patterns and support advocacy and policy goals in your own communities. Bring your questions and curiosities and join fellow advocates in learning to use data-powered advocacy in your policy work.
Presenters:
- Kyle Rojas Legleiter, Senior Director of Policy Advocacy, The Colorado Health Foundation
- Jin Tsuchiya, Colorado Lotus Project, Co-Chair, Colorado AAPI Circle
