Name
Wealth Narratives: Stories About Wealth and Money
Description

Economic well-being influences all aspects of a person's life, including the ability to afford housing, access to health care, food and more. We all deserve a chance to meaningfully participate in the pathways required to successfully achieve economic well-being, security and independence. As we work towards this vision, we also know that there are deep and wide disparities that impact Coloradans living on low- to moderate-income, particularly people of color and those living in rural communities. Many of these disparities are reinforced by broader narratives about wealth and money in our society. Join us for a facilitated and participatory conversation over lunch, as we explore our earliest memories of wealth and money and the stories we’ve been told and tell ourselves. How have these stories influenced the way we live, work and experience the world? Together, we will discuss how we might shift the narratives around money and wealth to create economic opportunities for all Coloradans.
